Monday, September 26th, 2005 - Not a whole lot going on right now... My birthday is on Saturday, October 1st, so I'm planning on having a little party on Friday the 30th and going to see Judas Priest and Anthrax on Saturday. Who knew turning 32 could be so much fun? =) I saw a link on Cinescape.com the other day for "Crystal Lake Memories," a book that documents the Friday The 13th film franchise in its entirety. Looks awesome! It's a shame I didn't see the book in time to pre-order a copy signed by the cast and crew. =(
[ Just in time for Halloween! ] It looks like the Milwaukee Brewers might actually have a shot at finishing above .500 for the first time since 1992! I'm going to see them play the Cincinnati Reds tomorrow night. Go Crew! I added another link to my Humor Section for the Church Sign Generator website. Heh heh... I have 8 Fantasy Football teams this week and I'm poised to go 6-2. Truth be told, I'd rather go 0-8 in exchange for a Packers win. Erg... Thanks for stopping by. |

Tuesday, September 20th, 2005 - Once again, it's time for my annual rant about the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame... Another year of nominations and another KISS snub. WTF? Grandmaster Flash? Cat Stevens? Dave Clark Five? The Patty Smith Group? J. Geils Band????? Good Lord... The group with more Gold and Platinum albums than any group in history (even more than the Stones and the Beatles) still gets no respect. Embarrassing... Speaking of embarrassing, how about those Green Bay Packers? *sigh* Two losses against two really bad teams. I can't say as though I'm looking forward to watching the Pack take on Tampa Bay and Carolina in the next two weeks. But, on a positive note, Brett Favre became the third player in history to pass for more than 50,000 yards and he broke John Elway's record for most TD passes in a single stadium. Don't hang it up yet, Brett! Give the Pack one more year! I thought I had more to say, but I guess I don't. Thanks for stopping by. |

Tuesday, September 6th, 2005 - On the subject of my gas prices rant yesterday, I thought you might find this amusing. I know I did... *laughs*
I finished watching Season 3 of The Shield recently and I have to say, it was every bit as good as Seasons 1 and 2 were. Amazing show! I can't wait until Season 4 comes out on DVD. I'll be first in line to snap it up... All of my Fantasy Football teams have been drafted for the year. Somehow I ended up with SEVEN teams! WTF? I guess I'll be busy every Sunday morning. Better set the alarm for 9... =) My condolences go out to the family of Bob "Gilligan" Denver, who died recently at the age of 70. Rest in peace, little buddy... Thanks for stopping... |

Monday, September 5th, 2005 - Happy Labor Day, everyone! I hope everyone enjoys their day off... I'm sure most of you are happy to be off today. I, on the other hand, have no choice. I'm off every day! Hey...at least I've kept my sense of humor. =) September 5th is also my puppy dog's birthday. He's five years old today... Happy Birthday, Toby!
I normally don't complain about gas prices, because I know what people pay in Europe. However...I think it's worth mentioning that it cost me $43.00 the other day just to fill up my little two door, four cylinder Chevy Cavalier! I remember gas was $0.79 a gallon when I started driving. That's a far cry from the $3.29 per gallon price currently listed on the Madison pumps. Ouch! I went camping this weekend. Fun times! Unfortunately, it also extended my "0 for lifetime" streak with camping and bad weather. Yep...not a cloud in the sky all day and nothing in the forecast, yet somehow we managed to get poured on. And I forgot the rainfly for my tent. Mmmm...yeah. Still, it was fun. A little water never hurt anyone, right? Thanks for stopping by... |
