Thursday, September 30th, 2004 - I picked up the new Megadeth album, The System Has Failed and I have to say, it kicks major ass! I am really, really impressed. I'm a huge Megadeth fan, so as you can imagine, I've been pretty disappointed with their last few albums...particularly Risk, Cryptic Writings and The World Needs A Hero. This new album, though, kicks big ass and takes big names. They haven't sounded this good since Countdown to Extinction and Youthanasia. If you've EVER been a Megadeth fan, you need to own this album. Yes, it's that good...

I've posted an update to my WTF? Page as well. Check it out here. Thanks for stopping by!

Thursday, September 23rd, 2004 - I see I'm not the only one who feels that George Lucas is an A #1 Nut-Job... Check out the latest Penny-Arcade.

Nice work, boys! I couldn't agree more... (Obviously)

Tuesday, September 21st, 2004 - I did the unthinkable today... I broke down and put more money in George Lucas's pocket by picking up the Bastardized Editions of the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD.

And this is after I read this interview with George on CNN. What was I thinking??? Get this:

To summarize, he basically sticks to his assertion that the Bastardized Editions are the movies that he wanted to make, but couldn't. He goes on to say that he doesn't really care what the fans (who made him rich) think, that he won't release the original versions on DVD (Why would I? They're out there on VHS if anyone wants them!) and that he's "sorry" that fans saw half completed films and fell in love with them. (Read: I'm sorry the fans are idiots and I'M the SUPER GENIUS here. What the fuck would the fans know, anyway?)

He also says that another reason he's not releasing the theatrical cuts on DVD is because they would cost millions of dollars to clean up. Um...WHAT? Most of the picture and sound editing has already been done/cleaned up for the bastardized versions. A few re-edits and a few custom touchups are all that would be needed. I'd say 95% of the work/expense has already been incurred. Oh, and I guess selling 50,000,000 copies of the ORIGINAL Trilogy on DVD (because you KNOW people would buy both) wouldn't make up the difference? Moron...

The ultimate insult, however, is that he has the BALLS to come out and say that the reason he's releasing them on DVD is not to make the fans happy, but because he's worried about piracy. It's all about the money, basically. I figured I'd just put them out while there's "still a market" and "get it over with." WHAT. THE. FUCK?!

Don't believe me? Read the whole interview here.

I thought I hated George Lucas before, but know I REALLY despise the man. How much do I despise him? Enough to spend $42.00 at Best Buy on his bastardized movies. *sigh* I guess I really showed him, huh? *double sigh* Burn in hell, George! (But put out the Original Trilogy first)

Wednesday, September 8th, 2004 - I'm finally kicking myself in the ass to get some writing done, so here's hoping it works! After receiving a very positive pass (if there is such a thing) from the Sci-Fi channel, my Cold Front screenplay is officially "out there" again. I've re-placed it on InkTip and I'm sending it out to anyone who'll look at it. I've got three more scripts in mind right now, too. Here's hoping I can start cranking them out!

I'm looking forward to seeing Resident Evil: Apocalypse this weekend. I hope it's as entertaining as the first one. Shaun of the Dead is coming soon, too. Go see it! I've seen it three times (don't ask me how) and you should really get out to the theatres and support this film.

George Lucas continues to impress (make that DEPRESS) me. Check this shit out. My, oh my... Words f***ing fail me. Serenity now! Serenity now!!!!!!

I'm alive and well...thanks for checking in on me. Heh heh...
