Friday, September 26th, 2003 - The Ignominious Death March (don't you think that would make a great band name?) toward Age 30 continues... Can you tell I'm excited? Ugh... And to think I was a lad of 23 or 24 when I started at Raven. Makes me sick just thinking about it... Well boys and girls, I have a mission for you. Watch the movie "Equilibrium!" If you're looking for a good Sci-Fi actioner along the lines of "They Live" and "The Running Man" with literary inspiration from Orwell's 1984 and Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, this is your movie. Rent it this weekend and let me know what you think! Have a great weekend! |

Wednesday, September 24th, 2003 - Only one week until my 30th birthday... Good Lord! They say you're only as old as you feel. That would make me...58 years old. =) I've been toying around with some new ideas for Kenn's World. One of them is to put up a message board so I can rap with people, though I don't think anyone cares enough about me or this site for that to happen. But who knows? Maybe I'll give it a shot. It would definitely make this little corner of the web a bit more interactive. Another idea I had is kind of "out there"... I've always wanted to do an advice column. *laughs* Yeah, forget about "Dear Abby." Here comes "Dear Kenn!" I'll let you know if I decide to give that a go. I don't know everything, but I'm sure I can pretend that I do. In the meantime, I've been busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. Hopefully things ease up soon. Thanks for stopping by! |

Friday, September 19th, 2003 - I went to see Seven Brides For Seven Brothers at the Fireside theater last night and it was a fantastic show. I wasn't familiar with the movie version, so it was a complete, pleasant surprise for me. My Raven Fantasy Football team is 0-2 and starving for a win. With any luck, I'll be kicking Rick Johnson's ass on Sunday! I guess I'll know soon enough whether or not I'm the kicker or the kick-ee. I've put another update on my Affronts Against God & Man. page. Something tells me there will be a lot of them before too long. Have a great weekend! |
| Thursday, September 18th, 2003 - I've been kicking around a new addition to Kenn's World for some time now and I've finally decided to act on it. So, without further adieu, I present you with... *drumroll* Affronts Against God & Man. Now permanently hosted (and hopefully frequently updated) in the Musings Section. Enjoy. |

Friday, September 12th, 2003 - I'd like to appeal to the parents of the Star Wars Kid with an open letter of sorts... Why sue the families of the kids that wronged your son for $160,000 when your son could parlay his newfound fame into a serious money making endeavor? Think about it... His escapades are the most downloaded files in the history of the Internet! Right now everyone knows who he is... In a year, no one will remember or care. No one but your son... You have to strike now! My advice to you is to contact a Hollywood Talent Manager and get your son out there. You could sell autographed pictures, t-shirts, a cook book, bumper stickers...an exercise video, for God's sake! You technically own the rights to all of the fan films out there that have been made. Get Anchor Bay to compile them and release them on DVD! Hell, contact Pepsi. They could turn one of the videos into a Pepsi commercial for the Superbowl! Hell, talk to the makers of the Golf Ball Retriever the guy was using and get him an endoresement deal! Get a ghost writer and start working on "The Star Wars Kid...my struggle." Or, "The Star Wars Kid in my own words." NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER, PEOPLE!!!! All the talk shows want him... All the morning shows want him. He could host Saturday Night Live! Rock Bands and Comedy Clubs would pay to show video of the kid between sets or to open their shows with a bang. Get a screenwriter and make a movie starring Adam Sandler or David Spade! You could sell the rights to your "story" for HUGE HOLLYWOOD BANK! In short, you and your son are sitting on a gold mine and don't even realize it. It's going to turn into fool's gold in less than a year, so for God's sake get out there! I know you're Canadian, but damn it, cashing in on "celebrity" is the AMERICAN WAY! Why do you think the rest of the world hates Americans? Don't fight "the man"...BE "the man!" Think of it this way... Do you want to sue the bastards that did this to your son for a paltry $160,000 (half of which will be sucked up by lawyers and court costs) or do you want to make so much money that your son can drive to school in a Ferrari while sporting a new Armani suit on his 16th birthday, go to any private school he wants and NEVER WORK A DAY IN HIS LIFE if he doesn't feel like it? Imagine the look on those punks' faces when Ghyslain gets invited to the Playboy Mansion for his 18th Birthday!!!! Living well is the best revenge, as the old saying goes, and making your son a millionaire would be the ultimate thumb of the nose at the pricks who did this to him. For God's sake, drop the freakin' lawsuit and set your son up for life. Please...please, for the love of all that is holy...DROP THIS LAWSUIT and go out and EARN the money. You are seriously wasting the opportunity of a lifetime if you pass this one up. If you decide to go this route, I'd settle for 5% (okay, 3%) of what he takes in. I don't want to work anymore and I hear Hawaii is nice this time of year. Go forth and be fruitful... |

Tuesday, September 9th, 2003 - The KISS/Aerosmith concert this weekend at Alpine Valley Music Theatre was a really good show. KISS was fantastic, as always. Aerosmith sounded good...if you like Aerosmith, that is. I enjoyed hearing their old stuff, but was pretty underwhelmed by the amount of newer material they played. I would love to see an Aerosmith tour where they only play stuff from the pre-1987 re-birth of the band. Now THAT would be a kick ass show. Got my reviewer's copy of the Game Developer's Market Guide yesterday. I assume that means it's going to be in stores soon. I wrote a five or six page article for the book about breaking into the games industry. The permanent link is in the Writing Section.
Thanks for stopping by. Sorry the picture of Britney Spears kissing Madonna is gone, but you can always check it out in the Archives. I decided to Archive July and August's news. |

Friday, September 5th, 2003 - It's been a busy week, so unfortunately I haven't had any time for updates. Fortunately for me, I had the picture of Madonna and Britney Spears to keep visitors company this week. =) I went and saw Jeepers Creepers 2 this week and was horribly under-whelmed. It was one missed opportunity after another in what amounted to a wholly forgettable film. This one's a rental, folks. You've been warned. I'm off to see KISS and Aerosmith at Alpine Valley this weekend. Should be a good time. I'll let you know how it goes. A brief update has been posted to my WTF? Page, if you're interested. Have a great weekend! |
