Monday, October 31st, 2005 - Happy Halloween, everyone! I went to see Saw 2 on Saturday with Heidi and her friends. Excellent stuff! Definitely a worthy sequel to last year's Saw. The movie is surprisingly brutal and quite well done overall. Decent acting. Excellent gore effects. Good story. There are a few moments of "What the f*** are you doing, you moron?" but that can be said of almost any horror film. If you liked the first one, you'll get a big kick out of the sequel as well.
"Oh yes...there will be blood." Speaking of Halloween, here's a little Halloween fun for you... Look closely at these two pictures and see if you can spot three differences between the picture on the left and the picture on the right. I'll be curious to see how you do. =) Happy Halloween! |

Tuesday,
October 25th, 2005 - I managed to get my car towed to
Sears Auto Center and had them put on two new tires and change my oil.
Because of my insurance deductible, I'd only get back about $75.00 if
I filed a claim, so I don't think I'll bother. If I do, odds are my
premiums would go up next time I renewed my insurance. *sigh* Ah, well...
At least I have wheels now. Check out this Optical Illusion Website a friend of mine sent me. Pretty interesting stuff there! Other than that, not much to report. Thanks for dropping by... |

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005 - Well, I had a LOVELY weekend. How was yours? Can you sense the sarcasm? Yeah... I thought so. So I head out last night to one of my favorite local haunts. I'm bored and they have a DJ, so I decide to pop down there for a couple of beers and a college football game. I go to leave, get in my car, start it up and start backing up. What's this? Something is horribly wrong. So I pull forward again, park the car and hop out. What do I see? Some douche bag took a switchblade to both of my driver's side tires. Yeah. My brand new, three month old tires... Nice, huh? Yeah, the fun never stops. The only thing I can hope for is that A)I catch the guy in the act next time or B)That all this negative Karma finally results in something positive happening in my life when it all finally "comes around." On another note, the harder I look for a job, the more I think that I should sell everything I own, buy some flannel shirts and a duffel bag and travel the country helping people in small towns just like the Incredible Hulk. The only problem? David Banner didn't have to apply for a job, send a resume, take an online psyche test, go through six interviews and take a drug test just to land a dishwashing job.
"Excuse me, Dr. Banner...would you piss in this cup for me?" I guess it's time for Plan B, then... Suggestions? =) On another note, I've moved several months of News into the Archives. Faster page loads, and all that... |

Friday, October 14th, 2005 - Ehhhh... The new "James Bond" was announced to the world today... Ehhhhh... Yeah. Daniel Craig, the 37 year old BLONDE, British actor will replace Pierce Brosnan in the role. So here's how it was announced... This lame-o shows up in a suit and dark glasses, supposedly "The Bond Look" on a military boat...wearing a flippin' life preserver! Do you think Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan or even Timothy Dalton would do THAT? Christ on a bike... I did some checking, and fortunately www.JamesBondIsASissyNancyBoy.com is still available...
"Hurry, fellas...I need to go pick up my skirt at the cleaners." What in God's name is Sony Pictures thinking? "I" look more like James Bond than this guy does. I'm officially crossing Casino Royale (and Bond movies in general) off my list until they come up with a new actor. This guy is going to make the Dalton years look like Connery's heyday. Note to Sony: Brosnan has said repeatedly that he's available and won't break the bank. All you have to do is call him up. Get on it! |

Monday, October 3rd, 2005 - Well, I have to say that this was one of the best birthday weekends I've ever had. I got to go out with friends for my birthday on Friday night. Saturday I got to see Judas Priest and Anthrax in Milwaukee. Sunday I got a nice, home cooked meal, a bottle of wine and a night of movie watching with my sweetie. I can't remember the last time I had such a great birthday. I guess maybe it's not all downhill after 30 after all. Heh heh... Speaking of great birthdays, Heidi bought me Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story. Holy crap is this a funny movie. Thorougly enjoyable. So much so, I added a permanent link to Family Guy in my Humor Section. Don't know how I went this long without mentioning it...
The Brewers finished at .500, so I'm proud of them...that was their pre-season goal. Here's hoping the Packers can get off the schnide tonight and beat the Panthers. Thanks for stopping by... |
| Saturday, October 1st, 2005 - Happy 32nd birthday to...me. =) |
