Monday, June 30th, 2003 - I have to say, 28 Days Later was absolutely fantastic. I truly enjoyed the film and it did, indeed, wash away the bad taste in my mouth left by The Hulk. Thumbs up to the guys who made this film. I can't wait for the U.S. DVD release...
Speaking of movies...I'm not the least bit surprised by the 70% box office dropoff the Hulk suffered this weekend. $18 million in Week 2? At this rate, I don't even think the movie will break even on its production budget until it hits Pay Per View and Home Video. Word travels fast. I guess I'm not the only one who thought it was a steaming pile... It's funny, too... The longer it's been since I've seen the movie, the more I hate it. Ugh... I'm getting sick just thinking about it. If you haven't seen The Hulk yet, DON'T BOTHER!!! You've been warned... Oh, yeah...there's another update to the WTF? Page as well. Getting closer to number 1 all the time... Thanks for stopping by! |

Thursday, June 26th, 2003 - I'm looking forward to seeing 28 Days Later tomorrow night. Hopefully it will wash away the bad taste in my mouth left by The Hulk. *shudder* I saw a comic strip in the newspaper today that inspired me. Here it is, shamelessly reprinted (and altered for relevance)... Hopefully the authors won't mind... :-)
Thanks for stopping by! |

Tuesday, June 24th, 2003 - I don't have a lot to say today. Imagine that... I've added another annoyance to ye olde WTF? page. I've also added a few more Links...one to Petfinder.com (adopt a homeless pet) and one to the American Red Cross (give blood and save a life). That is all... |

Monday, June 23rd, 2003 - I went to see The Hulk this weekend and I would like to publicly apologize for saying that this movie was going to rock. Man, oh man, was I wrong... The Hulk himself was very cool, but the movie as a whole was a real snoozer. Two hours and eighteen minutes of plodding badness... Ugh. Pros: As a side note, I've also Archived all of the May, 2003 news. Wheeee... |

Friday, June 20th, 2003 - Another week has come and gone... Ack! Going to see The Hulk this weekend and I'm really looking forward to it. I love all these people who say they think the Hulk looks "fake" or "cartoony" or "not very good." I'm thinking to myself IT'S THE HULK! He's a big, green, mean, gamma radiated monster... How the hell is he SUPPOSED to look? This movie is going to kick big ass and take big names. Mark my words..
HULK SMASH PUNY BOX OFFICE RECORDS!!! Have a great weekend, people... |

Wednesday, June 18th, 2003 - The site was down for a day or so because my host had a car crash into their building and wreck a bunch of their equipment. No shit... The much outdated Get A Job In The Industry article has been update for the first time in about a year. I fixed all the broken links, changed a few things and added a few things. You can check out that bad boy here. More tomorrow if all goes well... |

Friday, June 13th, 2003 - Okay, so as it turns out, the Madison preview of 28 Days Later has been cancelled. Oh, sure, they'll show it in VANCOUVER, but not here. *sigh* I guess I'll just have to wait, then... The latest edition of Gaming University has been posted and I've added the permanent link to the Writing page. Wheee... In honor of Friday The 13th and the full moon tonight... I may have to watch a little slice-n-dice tonight in honor of the occasion... |

Tuesday, June 10th, 2003 - I've updated the new My Job Page to add a few things and a section I forgot about. I guess it's my goal to have the world's longest job description. I have to be close... I've also added three more entries to my WTF? Page, mostly prompted by my trip to Great America. At this rate, I'll reach #1 and have to start a second list in no time at all. I just finished another "Get A Job In The Games Industry" article for a book that will be coming out this fall called The Game Developer's Market Guide. You can read more about the book here. The new edition of Gaming University should be posted soon as well. There's a special sneak preview of 28 Days Later in Madison this weekend and I'm going to see if I can arrange to go. The movie looks pretty kick ass to me... Never met a Zombie film I didn't like. |
| Monday, June 9th, 2003 - I've added a new My Job Page to Kenn's World to answer the burning question "Just what the hell do you do at Raven Software?" Imagine how much it would cost to post this job description in your local want ads! Fear me... |

Thursday, June 6th, 2003 - Well, the site move has finally happened. FeaturePrice, the old host, was bought by Atlantic.net and I wasn't a big fan of the change...or the new pricing scheme. So, as of this moment, both this website and Thundarr.com have switched over the SynergyConnect for hosting! So far I'm extremely happy with the move. I've given the site a bit of an overhaul... I fixed all of the broken pixel graphics, changed all of the FeaturePrice hosting references at the bottom of every page and I've archived all of the April 2003 news so the front page loads a bit faster... I've also added a link to Cinescape Magazine to the Links Page. I visit there daily, despite the fact that they never return my inquiries about freelancing for them. Bastards... Ah, well... Check them out if you get the chance. I may be adding some new sections to Kenn's World in the coming weeks, time permitting. Stay tuned for that. I'm taking tomorrow off to go to Great America with my friend Will who turns 40 on Saturday. Interesting that he doesn't even look like he's 30 at this point. I hope I age half as well... On a work related note, it looks like I'll be penning the game manual for Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Lots of work to do there... Perhaps I should get started? :-) Have a great weekend, everyone! |
