Friday, December 29th, 2006 - Happy Holidays, everyone! I just got back from visiting Wisconsin for a week and seeing my family. Good times... We drove from Houston to Madison and it was 20 hours of hell each way. If you're going to visit family this holiday season, I hope to God you're flying. =) My nephew went to his first Packers game ever this year against the Detroit Lions. In the first quarter after Vernand Morency scored a touchdown, he did the Lambeau leap and landed right on my nephew. Here's a pic from Packers.com. My nephew Dayne has his hand on Morency's leg. =)
After the game, William Henderson gave Dayne his game gloves, too. All this on the same day that Brett Favre set the NFL record for completions. Maybe it's just me, but I get the feeling that every Packers game from now on will be a "downer" for my nephew. Heh... Speaking of the Packers, they actually have a shot at the playoffs. Here's hoping for a Packers victory this weekend and losses by the Giants and the Rams. Would be nice to see them back in the running again after last year's horrendous season. I went to the theater over the break and saw Rocky Balboa. I highly recommend it! I figured it would be decent, but I didn't think it was going to be as great as it ended up being. What a fitting sendoff for one of the all time great heroes of the movies! Go see it! If I don't update soon, have a Happy New Year! Peace... |

Tuesday, December 6th, 2006 - Wow...I skipped a whole month! I've posted two new updates to my WTF? Page. It's been ages since I updated that thing! I must be slipping in my old age.
I've also added two permanent links in the Links Section to my MySpace page and Pi Studios' new MySpace page as well. I've updated the My Job Section to include my work on the recently released Call of Duty 3.
Don't forget to check out the Child's Play Charity page and make a donation to help sick children in Children's Hospitals all over the country this Christmas. I made my donation today! Check it out and send some good will their way! Thanks for stopping by! |

Saturday, October 7th, 2006 - Well, I bit the bullet and finally got my own MySpace page. I swore it would be a cold day in hell, but I guess I lack the willpower to resist the sensation. If you want to join my friends list, stop by the page and say "hello." Thanks for stopping by... |

Sunday, October 1st, 2006 - Happy 33rd birthday to me! I went to see the Houston Texans play the Miami Dolphins today and watch the Texans get their first win of the season.
Reliant Stadium is beautiful, I have to say. I'm looking forward to seeing more games this year! |

Sunday, August 6th, 2006 - Yes, I'm still alive. Busy at work and little else... I almost forgot what it was like to work a "real" job. Heh... Time is certainly flying, though. Football season is here! The Hall of Fame game is tonight. I'm so starved for football that I may actually have to watch the Raiders tonight. I have to say, it's nice to see Art Shell coaching again. I'm planning to get my NFL Sunday Ticket hooked up in the next few weeks. Packers football! I've been watching lots of bad movies lately. Most of them have been crap that I picked up at Blockbuster in the 3 for $20 bin or bad b-movie horror films that I picked up during the last 20% off sale at Deep Discount DVD. In sifting through the dreck, I can honestly recommend two films: Satan's Little Helper and The Hazing. Satan's Little Helper is a little gem about a boy who stumbles across a serial killer on Halloween dressed as a character from his favorite video game. The little boy offers to help "Satan" out on his rampage and hilarity ensues. Great tongue in cheek comedy horror. The kid is a little annoying, but tough it out. It's totally worth it... The Hazing is basically a tribute to the Evil Dead. There's an evil book that unleashes spirits on some unsuspecting fraternity and sorority wannabes. Tons of gore and boobies galore. This was a very pleasant surprise. I can't believe how much I enjoyed this movie. I bought an IBM Thinkpad T22 from Ebay and I'm fixing it up with wireless networking and a new battery. With an original list price of somewhere around $3200.00, it was an absolute steal for me to nab it for $250.00 (including shipping!) The goal is to get back to my screenwriting. I have a laptop now, but it's basically a ten pound desktop replacement clunker that's hardly a "lap" top. This T22 is ultra thin and portable and only weighs about four pounds. I finally thought of a way to finish "Wayside" the other day, so I'm thinking the second half of the script will basically write itself. Speaking of screenwriting, my IMDB Page has been updated to include more of my games industry work. I've updated my About Page to include my relocation and new job and I've updated my Links page as well. I also moved July, August, September and October 2005's news to the Archives. Finally, my free counter sucked the big one, so it's gone. Thanks for stopping by! |
