Monday, August 22nd, 2005 - Not a whole lot going on these days. Still looking for work, unfortunately. Anything you've heard about how bad the job market is? Forget it. It's worse! Big fun. Big prizes. Big danger. Wheeeeee...

During my Packers 2005 NFL Draft review, I had some disparaging things to say about Guard Will Whitticker. I take them back... It looks like he's going to start at right guard! WW joins a long line of 7th round picks by the Packers who've gone on to have great careers as offensive linemen in the NFL. Good news for the Pack! And my apologies to the Michigan State fan who e-mailed me after my draft review and tried to set me straight. You were right, bud! Drop me a line if you read this... =)

I watched Season 2 of The Shield last week on DVD. Wow...just as great, if not better, than Season 1 was! My friends are going to loan me Season 3 soon. I'm guessing I'll have that watched in a day or two... It's just THAT addictive!

Judas Priest (with Rob Halford) and Anthrax (with Joey Belladonna) are coming to Milwaukee and are playing on my birthday! Happy Birthday, Kenn! Woo hoo! Even though Judas Priest is in my top three of all time as far as music goes, I've never seen them with Halford. I can't think of a better birthday present! Yeah!

Thanks for stopping by... Back to the job search.

Thursday, August 11th, 2005 - Football season is finally upon us! Last week I had my first Fantasy Football draft...14 teams, 15 rounds. I ended up landing Jake Delhomme, Donald Driver, Nate Burleson, Keenan McCardell, Shaun Alexander, Kevin Jones, Tony Gonzalez, Josh Brown and Chicago's defense as my starters. I have some quality guys on my bench, too, in the form of Fred Taylor, JJ Arrington, Amani Toomer and Donte Stallworth. If you're interested, you can see the complete fantasy draft here. I drafted as "The KISS Army." (You probably guessed that...) =)

I went to see the Motley Crue farewell tour last night at the Marcus Ampitheater in Milwaukee. Fantastic show! I couldn't believe how great they looked and sounded! If you get a chance to see them on this tour, you should do it.

Some friends of mine introduced me to FX's "The Shield" recently...

[ I'm Vic Mackey...and I'm a baaaaaaad man! ]

Holy crap! It's an amazing show. I don't know how I've managed to miss out on it for the past three years, but somehow I did. I just finished off Season 1 on DVD (in about two days) and I'm going to burn through Season 2 next week. If you get a chance to Netfix it, do it! You won't be sorry... It's a cross between Homicide: Life on the Street and HBO's old series "Oz." Great stuff!

Thanks for stopping by!

Monday, August 1st, 2005 - I guess time really does get away from me sometimes. After a short stint in the job market, I'm back out looking again. *laughs* Ah, well... All part of the fun.

Green Bay Packers training camp is underway and full of drama as usual. Javon Walker and Grady Jackson are there, but aren't happy about it...especially Jackson. I don't know WTF his deal is. At least the Packers managed to sign QB Aaron Rodgers and get him into camp, too. I'm glad they avoided a long, ugly holdout situation there. Start the season already!

Thanks for stopping by. I'm still alive... More soon. =)
